Dr. Raquel Guardado-Soto (she/her/hers) is a Salvadoran-American bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking California Licensed Psychologist. She completed her Ph.D. at the California School for Professional Psychology at Alliant University with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology. Dr. Guardado-Soto has worked with underserved and marginalized communities throughout her graduate work and post licensure. Throughout her career, Dr. Guardado-Soto has worked completing comprehensive evaluations for various types of needs (i.e. N648, psychosocial evaluations, Workers’ Compensation evaluations). Understanding the nuances and impact that trauma has on human development, coping, and daily functioning is imperative when assessing or treating individuals who have experienced trauma. Dr. Guardado-Soto is cognizant of the effects that adverse childhood experiences can have on adulthood, and this informs her interactions in treatment and in evaluations.

Experienced in treating and assessing patients who have been exposed to trauma, Dr. Guardado-Soto is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), amongst other trauma focused therapy models. Currently, Dr. Guardado-Soto works as a Clinical Psychologist providing individual therapy services to adolescents (16+) and adults. During self-care time Dr. Guardado-Soto enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, visiting the beach, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors.
